The design employed new Leitz glasses designs which could boost the performance when compared to the Summarit. Out of total production in excess of13,000 only 550 were produced in screw mount, making this a relatively rare model

The lens shows some signs of wear consistant with its age (see photos), it is in good optical condition and comes with original Leitz 'low-profile' UVa filter and 12521G lenshood
