Held over various sites around the pretty Cumbrian town of Kendal the festival is a must for any outdoor enthusiast and photographer. Some of the worlds leading outdoor professionals, explorers, speakers, equipment brands, manufacturers, photographers and film makers will be all together in one giant outdoor melting pot.
We are proudly situated at the basecamp village which is part of the Brewery Arts Centre at the heart of the festival.

Kendal 2016 Teaser
This free competition provides both amateur and professional photographers the opportunity to showcase their interpretation of the unique character of mountain landscapes, people, places, and adventure pursuits. Categories for the competition include:
1) Adventure in the Outdoors
2) Mountain Landscapes
3) Young Photographer - 14 and under AND 15-18 years - 'Adventure on your doorstep'
4) Smartphone - 'Friends in High Places'
5) Fido on the Fells (Canine shots up high)
There are many prizes for the winners. These are made possible through the awesome support of SmugMug and Peak Design Click on the tab on the right or here The judges will be looking for images that reflect the action and/or atmosphere of adventure sports, or the wilderness of mountainous landscapes.
The competition aims to celebrate images that reflect the skill, creative vision and originality of the photographer. The top contenders will be chosen and all the category winners and runners-up including the Grand Prize - 'The Kendal Mountain Photographer of the Year' will be announced at the Festival Awards Ceremony on Saturday 19th November.
